God Has Big Things for Us! August 17 - 23 Dear Camper Parents,
Are you ready for back to school? I can't believe summer passed so quickly. Our campers are really doing well, and learning about some important campers in the Bible. This is our second week of studying the life of Moses. Our main truth was, God told Moses to do something big, and He has big things for us to do too! God is ALWAYS with You August 10 - 16 Hello, families of our amazing House kids!
Camp Sozo and Lil Camp Sozo are at the halfway point and we have had some great feedback from kids, parents, and teachers! This week we begin studying our new Happy Camper, Moses. He was God's great camp leader! (Leading the Israelites out of Egypt on a 40 year camping trip) Restoring Relationships August 3 - 9 Happy Camper Families! What a great summer we have been having at Camp Sozo!
We have learned lessons about obedience, faith, God's promises, and this past week, we learned about how God wants to restore relationships! God's Word Over Circumstance July 27 - August 2 Hello, families of our awesome campers!
We have been focused on teaching our kids to believe God's Word over circumstances! Our faith is the substance of things we don't see. This is an incredible truth for anyone to comprehend. When our kids can learn this, it can help them to believe God for healing, finances, and anything else in their future. Our son, Mikie, learned this at 7 years old. He received healing in his body all on his own. The story we studied this week is a great example from the life of Jacob. What we focus on feeds our faith. Are we focusing on the problem or the answer? When God Shows Up, It Changes Everything! July 20 - 26 Greetings, Happy Camper Families!!!
What a great camp experience it has been so far. We are just about to have our third week of studying the life of Jacob. This past Saturday night, we learned that when God shows up, it changes everything! Each week during our God Connect Time, we pray with the campers and believe for them to have an experience with Jesus. Choices + Consequences July 13 - 19 Hello, Happy Camper Families!
Here we are in the middle of summer and it is time to think about back to school shopping! (I know, too soon). Our lesson this week was an awesome lesson in choices and consequences. We are now studying the life of Abraham’s grandson Jacob. This first week we spent time studying how our actions can affect others, and how the choices we make can create outcomes that are not very good. Blessings from Faith June 29 - July 5 Hello parents and families!
I want to encourage you this week that it is not about what you don’t do in front of your kids, but about what you do to model your relationship with God! People are not inspired by a life of following rules, but by a life of where the passionate pursuit and connection with Jesus is obvious in your everyday routine. Faith in His Word June 22 - 28 Hello, parents + families!
The purpose of this weekly communication is to equip and encourage you in your "God moments" with your kids. For every family, this will look different. The most important part is that no matter what it looks like, it needs to happen daily!
